Film Permits are a critical component of filming on public property, and for staging vehicles or equipment on public property while filming on private property. Film Permits grant you first right for the public location where you are working, as long as you follow the conditions outlined in the final film permit. Permits are required for commercial shoots for film or still photography. Permits are not necessary for those shooting photos and videos for personal use, such as a family vacation or other individual, personal cause. Permit fees and the need for additional insurance coverage will be evaluated once a permit application is submitted.
Filming Permit Forms All companies, institutions, groups or individuals who seek permission to undertake assignment as film/video producers should complete the Filming Permit Application Form. Film/video producers should submit letters stating reasons for shooting/filming in Tanzania.
